In Canada, the PlayBook has always had a good stand against the iPhone – it would, after all, be a perfect shame if the Canadians would buy products from their evil neighbor in the south.

The fine folks have now announced that the 4G PlayBook will be available from Bell, Rogers and Telus. Its hardware specs are the same, except that the processor is boosted to 1.5GhZ (from 1.0) and that the memory is fixed at 32GB.

Mobile Business Briefing adds the following info on the wireless subsystems:

As with the 4G version of Apple’s iPad, the LTE PlayBook does not support some of the more popular bands used globally. In its current form, it includes 700MHz and 1700MHz LTE, alongside pentaband HSPA+.
